Anna Fermanova was arrested for smuggling military technology to Russia. On July 15th, when she was returning from Moscow, she was arrested in Kennedy airport.
In March, when she was going to Moscow, federal agents stopped her in airport by finding $7,000 and Raptor 4X Night Vision Weapons Sight in her bag. Also, they found two night vision devices. Federal agents have seized her luggage and asked her to leave the country. However, she was arrested on her returning way from Moscow.
The state department must send an approval to export such devices. But, Fermanova didn’t take any approval for the weapons accessories. She was charged for intentionall
y exporting the defense information of United States Munitions to Russia. She is expected to send New York for arraignment in this month.
Anna Fermanova is from Latvia; she has come to United States along with her family and became U.S citizen. She is a graduate of Ogle School and having cosmetologist license in Texas.
