Lady GaGa has soared No.1 on the top of the UK album chart after posting the biggest first week sales of 2011 year so far with ‘Born This Way’ music album.
GaGa ‘Edge Of Glory’ singer’s long-awaited music album has moved over 215,000 copies since its release on Monday to strike album chart dominator Adele’s ‘21’ and ‘19’ records into second and third place respectively.
Lady GaGa (25-year-old) feels so honored to have the highest first-week sales in the UK this season. She wrote the album’s first single ‘Born This Way’ in Manchester, because she was so motivated by the confidence and courage quality of her fans. Sources said.
Elsewhere in the rankings, veteran dance collective ‘The Prodigy’ scores their seventh Top 10 album with “World’s On Fire – Live” at five. While GaGa’s appearance offering “The Fame” shoots to seven from last week’s eleven following “Born This Way’s” influx.
Meanwhile, Kate Bush manages stands in the top 10 after latest album Director’s Cut slides nine spots to 11, finishing just ahead of Frankie Valli and ‘The Four Seasons’ collection working My Way Back To You, a new entry at 12.
Lastly, the Foo Fighters falls to the nine places to 18 with Wasting Light, Friendly Fires land at 19 from last Sunday’s six, with Pala and Fleet Foxes conclude the top 20 after ‘Helplessness Blues’ run into eight places from 12.
