Beyonce Knowles honoured ”can’t believe” Clint Eastwood wants her to take a foremost role in his remake of ‘A Star is Born’.
Beyonce Knowles (29-year-old) actress-and-singer, who is alleged to be starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the approaching film, has confirmed she is in “awe” of Clint, and adds she is pleased to have been chosen as she is an “African American woman”.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning America’, she told: “Clint Eastwood? Can you believe that? I can not believe it still. When I met him, I was just in awe. I am so, so honoured that he believes in me and I can not wait to do this movie.
According to the sources, Beyonce was representing this generation’s talent and for her to be the chosen person, as an African American woman, it is incredible.
The movie will be the fourth remake of the typical story, the most recent version in 1976 starred Barbara Streisand as the hopeful singer who falls for an older rock star (Kris Kristofferson), but Janet Gaynor and Judy Garland have formerly played the lead role.
Beyonce has won much compliments for her previous movie roles, starring as Etta James in ‘Cadillac Records’ and a foremost role in musical ‘Dreamgirls’, which was heavily based on the story of Diana Ross and 60s girl group ‘The Supremes.’
