“Dancing with the Stars” show wants more ‘high profile’ celebrities, as their may be no room for the ‘D-listers’ in the upcoming season.
According to the sources, the producers are in the hunt for more “high profile – A-listers” stars after casting the likes of Kate Gosselin, Jake Pavelka, The Situation, Holly Madison and Jake Pavelka in the past seasons.
He is reportedly offering them more control over their music selections, costume design and rehearsal schedule.
To get high profile, compromise is apparently made with some of the rules. The producers allegedly offer A-listers celebrities complete control over their rehearsal schedule, which means they can perform and practice as much or as little as they want.
In addition, they might have final say on music selections and costume design.
So far, those who have been thought to join season 13 of the ‘DWTS ‘ reality show are Khloe Kardashian and her brother Robert, Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina, Ashley Hebert of “The Bachelorette”, Regis Philbin, Christina Milian, Shaquille O’Neal, Donnie Wahlberg, Snooki of “Jersey Shore”, Nick Jonas, Queen Latifah and Melissa Gilbert.
While, the most of the stars in this list are not A-listers, it is possible that the change will be effective in season 14 ‘Dancing with the Stars’ show.
The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” will premiere on Monday, September 19 at 8:00 pm on ABC channel. Pro dancers, who are likely to come back, are Kym Johnson, Derek Hough and Chelsie Hightower.
