Late Alexander McQueen – the designer allegedly left $82,000 (£50,000) in his will to his three dogs – Minter, Juice and Callum.
Alexander, who has committed suicide, last February 2011, allocated the money to his three dogs so they could receive adequate care for the rest of their lives.
His five siblings and two house-keepers also expected to receive thousands from the McQueen estate, sources revealed.
A momentous portion of money left in McQueen’s $26 million (£16m) will was given to charity, including $164,210 (£100,000) donations to the “Blue Cross” animal welfare charity and the Cats Home and Battersea Dogs.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home representative Spencer Wisdom explains the contribution as “a lovely surprise”.
Alexander McQueen also requested that funds left in his Sara Bande charity’s trust be used to offer scholarships to his alma mater, the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
The designer’s death in 2010 drew honors from Bjork and Lady GaGa, the latter of whom wrote a honor song in McQueen’s tribute.
McQueen acknowledged with numerous awards former to his passing, that includes ‘International Designer of the Year’ in 2003 by the Council of Fashion Designers and the winning ‘British Fashion Designer of the Year’ four times.
