Lady GaGa breaks down into tears while judging a routine on So You Think You Can Dance last night.
The ‘Edge of Glory’ star joined Chicago manager Rob Marshall, Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe on the judging panel for the Top eight round of the Fox competition.
“So You Think You Can Dance” contestant clutched tears out of Lady GaGa. The singer emerged as a guest judge on the Top 8 performance night and she cried after Marko Gremar did a contemporary performance to Jeff Buckley’s “I Know It’s Over” with Allison Holker.
All four judges gave Gremar and Holker a standing ovation. Lady GaGa was the first judge to give a comment. “I am just so proud of you,” she began as tears breaks down her face. “There are so many things – I did wrong when I was younger, and so many things I wish I could take back and I felt every moment of that through your dance.”
The contestant dance, which was choreographed by Sonya Tayeh was committed to Marko’s mom who was actually among the audience. She cried in front of the entire crowd and waved proudly to her child who said that she flew all the way from Guam to support him.
After giving him an excellent comment, Nigel Lythgoe stated that, everyone to say things they want to say to their mothers – while there is still a chance.
Fellow judge Rob Marshall, who is an Emmy, Oscar and Tony Award nominee, also admired Lady GaGa herself during the competition night, using her as an example of a performer who gives in to the music when she is on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ stage.
