Rihanna took part in the annual Kadooment Day parade to get provocative as she embraces the festive air in her Bridgetown hometown of Barbados.
On Monday, August 1, the “Only Girl” hit-maker took part in the annual Kadooment Day parade, and hit the streets in a barely there, fishnet stockings and sequined bikini. She also wore bright red feathered crown to compete her dress.
During the parade, the Bajan songstress singer rode on a float and blew kisses to the crowd. At one spot, she was seen twisting over and dancing with a fan, who came up at the back of her.
Apparently having fun, she did not appear to be worried, when the rain started to fall. In fact, she was spotted running in the street and chuckleing with her friends.
RiRi, the 23-year-old singer arrived back in Barbados over the weekend. She lately wrapped up the North American leg of her fifth album “Loud” tour. Soon after she landed, the hit-maker took to twitter account and commented.
“My home, my country, my people… Barbados!!! # 1Love # Sweet fah Days Nothin’ Better! # Rihanna Navy Miss u guys tho.”
Kadooment Day is the executive final celebration of the “Crop Over Festival”. It is explained in Barbados.org that its origins can be marked out back to the 1780′s, a time when Barbados was the world’s largest producer of sugar.
At the finish of the sugar season, there was always an enormous celebration to mark the finale of another successful sugar cane harvest.
