Ashley Hebert has chosen JP Rosenbaum in the season 7 finale of ‘The Bachelorette’ after a string of dates with 25 potential suitors.
The Madawaska, Maine, native, 26, who will soon complete dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, promised herself she had follow her heart to true love and now she says she is found it.
Two potential men asked for her hand in marriage on Monday’s finale: Sonoma, Calif., winemaker Ben Flajnik, 28-year-old, and New York construction manager J.P. Rosenbaum, 34-year-old.
However, at the final rose ceremony, the dentist student gave the final rose to J.P. on the episode – which aired Monday, August 01, sending the other suitor Ben terribly upset.
Viewers saw that Ashley had a wonderful connection to Flajnik, but it was the more reserved Rosenbaum who has taken her heart.
Ashley Hebert had earlier taken both suitors to get together with her family, where both were subject to an examination by family members including her older sister Chrystie Corns.
Following Corns’ grilling of Rosenbaum, who she had reservations about Hebert tackled her sibling, saying: “It is like you are telling me all these things, I know and you are not feeling for me. I feel so alone… after all of this; I do not want to feel alone.”
Corns responded: I don’t feel like I want to baby you, you are an adult… I am trying to protect you from yourself.
At last, J.P. asked the grill – Ashley, will you marry me? While presenting her with a diamond Neil Lane engagement ring – then Ashley replied “Yes!” and he placed the ring on her finger.
Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum shared a long kiss with the background of the Fijian sunset.
