The best movie and TV actress winners of 2011 ALMA Awards have been honored at a ceremony held on Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, Saturday evening, Sept.10, 2011.

The winners of 2011 ALMA Awards have been honored a Favorite Movie scored “A Better Life”, whereas Antonio Banderas took home favorite movie actor, and Jessica Alba won favorite movie actress in drama or adventure movie.

Demi Lovato was honored at the 2011 ALMA Awards; the 19-year-old beauty was named Favorite leading actress in a TV Comedy for her character on “Sonny with a Chance” although she had quit the Disney Channel sitcom prior to this year.

2011 ALMA Award winners in Movie:

1.    Favorite Movie: “A Better Life”
2.    Favorite Movie Actor: Antonio Banderas – “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger”
3.    Favorite Movie Actress in a Drama or Adventure Movie: Jessica Alba – “Machete”
4.    Favorite Movie Actress in a Comedy or Musical Movie: Alexa Vega – “From Prada to Nada”

1.    Favorite TV Series: “Desperate Housewives”
2.    Favorite TV Actor in a Leading Role: Adam Rodriguez – “CSI: Miami”

4.    Favorite Leading Actress in a TV Comedy: Demi Lovato – “Sonny with a Chance”
5.    Favorite TV Actress in a Supporting Role: Maria Canals Barrera – “Wizards of Waverly Place”
