One Direction album has spotted to the top of the UK singles chart with their first appearance release ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
The X Factor boy-band known separately as Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson has achieved the leading first-week sales of 2011 after shifting over 153,000 copies of their expected track.
The top artists such as Adele, Jennifer Lopez and Bruno Mars, who have also managed to exceed 100,000 sales in one week with their releases throughout the season. Last week’s no. one ‘All About Tonight’ by Pixie Lott is bumped down to third position behind ‘Maroon 5’ and Christina Aguilera with ‘Moves Like Jagger’.
While Olly Murs scales two to four with Rizzle Kicks team-up ‘Heart Skips A Beat’. Will Young proceeds to the single digits this Sunday with ‘Jealousy’, which is up to nine spot from twelve, and Leona Lewis – the third place X Factor act in this week’s Top 10, crashes six position from four with ‘Collide’.
Album chart champion ‘Ed Sheeran’ drops two to twelve with his latest track ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’ as its + predecessor ‘The A Team’ taking four to 14 place, squashing in beside ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars at 13.
