2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees Unveiled

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 15 nominees were unveiled, which will be considered for induction in 2012. The nominations ceremony is scheduled to be held in Cleveland on Saturday, April 14, 2012.

The 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction nominees are selected on the basis of their impact on the music-world and there are over 500 voting members of the ‘Hall of Fame’ who will choose which five artists, who will be inducted in 2012 year. Notably all 15 bands and artists under consideration are from either United Kingdom or the North America.

Joel Peresman, CEO and President of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation admits the 2012 nominees embody the broad scope of what ‘rock and roll’ means. The nominees list represents the courage, what the foundation celebrate at the 27th Annual Induction Ceremony.

All the winners will be represented in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland. The non-profit group is also conducting education programs, library and archives to bring awareness in its audiences on the global impact of the rock and roll art form.
