Paul McCartney has married his fiancée Nancy Shevell on Sunday afternoon, October 9 at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.
Paul McCartney, the former Beatle tied the knot to Nancy Shevell, a New York businesswoman, who he has dated since 2007. The Beatles musician is married for the third time. In a wedding ceremony held at Marylebone register office was surrounded by hundreds of well-wishers.
The twosome exchanged vows in front of thirty-guests including McCartney’s friends Ringo Starr and Shevell’s family member Barbara Walters. McCartney’s daughter Stella designed the bride’s Shevell outfit, which is a long-sleeved, v-neck, knee-length ivory collection, and also the groom’s navy blue suit with a simple blue tie. His younger brother, Mike seemingly acted as the best man and his young daughter, Beatrice was served the flower girl.
McCartney offered his bride with a vintage-style Neil Lane band, which boasts 5-carats of sq. cut diamonds. The just married pair was greeted by photographers outside the Old Marylebone Hall. He joked to the photographers and reporters, “What’s going on? What are you all doing here?” adding that he felt “married”.
Mr. and Mrs. McCartney would hold a get-together in the evening at his house in St John’s Wood. According to the sources, guests would be served with vegetarian meals – such as salads, tarts, polenta and dumplings. Posh Puds Patisserie provided two wedding cakes, one traditional and one vegetarian.
Sir Paul McCartney married his first wife Linda at the same venue in the 1969. Their separation came to an end upon her death from breast cancer in 1998. McCartney went on to second marriage with Heather Mills in 2002, but the couple separated six years later.
