Few months ago, Amy Winehouse has left her last breath at Camden house. Now, the late singer’s autobiography is said to be published by Mitch Winehouse in next summer.
Mitch Winehouse, who launched the Amy Winehouse Foundation last month, will tell her heartfelt and incredible story in full in the book, which has been obtained by publishers Harper Collins. Earnings from Amy, My Daughter, in which Mitch will re-call the singer’s mischievous early years, through her raise to glory, to her much publicized struggles with addiction, will be donated to the foundation.
According to the sources, “I feel that I need to publish this book to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery,” Mitch told. “I also want to raise as much money as possible for Amy’s foundation, so all earnings from the book will go directly to help children, who are needy through illness and body addiction.
He added: “I believe that through Amy’s music, her foundation, and this book, her name will live forever.” Meanwhile, Nick Canham, Editorial Director at Harper Collins, said: “Amy Winehouse was a once in a generation star, whose bequest will last for decades. Her early and tragic death has left a void in the hearts of all her followers.
Canham gushed: “Amy, My Daughter will be a must read for Amy’s legions of followers, and also a heart-breaking account of a father’s love for his lost daughter that will speak to any parent.” Mitch Winehouse’s Amy, My Daughter will be published in 2012.
