Billboard Music Awards announced that Taylor Swift has been selected to be Woman of the Year Award at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event on December 2 in New York City.
Taylor Swift generous work, especially made her success in music industry, she has been awards and accolades as Billboard’s Woman of the Year.
The 21-year-old has sold more albums that any other artist in any variety in the past twelve-months. Her third and latest solo album, “Speak Now”, has been sold roughly 3 million album copies in the United States alone. She also succeeds numerous Billboard Music Awards through the album.
As the recipient of ‘Woman of the Year’ title, Swift is officially the youngest artist to ever obtain the honor. Billboard’s Editorial Director, Bill Werde gushed “Taylor has shown the power of good song-writing with music that, has surpassed genres, and we are delighted to recognize all of her successes over the past season by honoring her with the Billboard Woman of the Year Award.”
“At the young age of 21, Swift has already made a major bang on music lovers and has been an unbelievable role model for aspiring singers/song-writers and young women everywhere. I look forward to watching her career go on to flourish in the years to come.”
Taylor Swift is the youngest woman to collect this honor and last season, Fergie took away the award.
