Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 credibly held onto its U.S. box office lead in Thanksgiving weekend. The vampire romance film, starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, last week debuted with $139.5 million earnings, the fifth-highest opening in box office history.
‘Breaking Dawn I’ – The penultimate vampire romance film secures the top spot on the chart for two weeks in a row with an estimated $42 million from the last three days, and around $62.3 million on the five-day, Thanksgiving weekend. So far, the movie earned $221.3 million nationally and $489.3 million international.
On the other hand, “The Muppets” lands on the second spot in its opening week. The movie brings back fan-favorite puppets, Miss Piggy and co., Kermit the Frog to the cinema theater collects in an approximately $29.5 million in three days, and an estimated $42 million during the five-day Thanksgiving weekend.
Meanwhile, on third place is kid-friendly film “Happy Feet Two” – The animated movie rakes around $13.4 million in the last three days and $18.3 million in five days holiday weekend.
Both “Arthur Christmas” and “Hugo” exceeded expectations by finishing in the fourth and fifth position respectively.

9. Tower Heist – $10.1 million
10. The Descendents – $9.4 million
