Recently Angelina Jolie, was sued by an author stating that the Salt’ has stolen his story for her film about the Balkan war, but initially Jolie did not respond to the claim, but she broke out of silence and stated that she never even read this man’s book.
In this man named James Braddock, who is a journalist filed the lawsuit in Illinois court claiming that he met three times with Eden Sarkic, Jolie’s producer on her directorial debut, on the upcoming film In The Land of Blood & Honey. James is asking for an emergency ban against the film’s release. The film is set to hit the screens in U.S. on December 23rd.
During an interview Angelina slammed back saying that it’s par for the course. It happens on almost every film, in a larger interview about the movie at a New York hotel.
Braddock has stated that he had spoke to Sarkic through phone and via e-mail and explained about the story line that is being centered in the film. On the other end Jolie stated that she was inspired through many sources including books by journalists Peter Maass and Tom Gjelten. This film is made on idea of many books, but not on the one James is claiming.
