She nominated for this award along with Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe, and Meryl Streep. She is in the film industry for more than 20 years, but she won her first Oscar in last night for playing the role of a white Southern woman.

British Film Awards Best Actress

For her roll in the movie ‘Nowhere Boy’ actress Anne-Marie Duff received the best actress honour at British film awards.

The actress received the award and she used her acceptance speech to thank her actor husband James McAvoy, who was in the audience.

After receiving of that awards she told that: ‘I’d really like to be Mrs. McAvoy for a minute and say thank you for seriously having to live with a flame-haired broken-hearted banjo player for quite some time’.

Best And Worst Actress Of 2009 Sandra Bullock?

Sandra Bullock nominated for the best actress of 2009 in Oscar awards, meanwhile he nominated the worst actress of 2009 for razzies awards.

Pulling off both nominations is a rare and perhaps bittersweet feat but, Bullock is having “the best year of her career.” Both “The Blind Side” and “The Proposal” were box office hits, offsetting the “All About Steve” dud.

The actress has been nominated for an Academy Award for her role as Leigh Anne Tuohy in movie The Blind Side.

AR Rahaman Wins Two Grammy Awards

A.R. Rahamn once again rewared for his composion for music for “Slumdog Millionaire”. He alredy got two Oscar awards for Slumdog Millionaire. Now he strck with two Grammy Awards on Sunday.

Rahman, 44, beat Grammy veteran Bruce Springsteen in the motion picture song category while “Slumdog Millionaire” swept aside “Inglourious Basterds” and “Twilight” to win best compilation soundtrack for a film.
