A woman called 911 and requested ambulance to arrive quickly for music icon Davy Jones. Jones had suffered a heart attack at his home in Indiantown, Fla. Jones family members said he suffered severe breath problems on Wednesday morning.

The unidentified woman called 911 and rushed him to hospital but he was pronounced dead. A Woman says – “Ambulance please, hurry.” He immediately took to hospital which was 27 miles away from his home.

Rhonda Irons, spokeswoman for the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the 66-year-old singer suffered severe heart attack early Wednesday and rushed to hospital after receiving the emergency call from an unidentified woman but he was pronounced dead.

Davy Jones was the lead singer of the 1960s group, “The Monkees”. Peter Tork, Mike Nesmith, and Mickey Dolenz were the rest of the members in group. All “The Monkees” group pay tribute to their lead.

Martin Memorial Hospital informed medical examiner’s office for Martin County, Florida, about Jones death through phone call. Martin County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said Jones was pronounced dead after rushed to hospital in the town of Stuart.
