Penelope Cruz offers a “dream year” in movies

Penelope Cruz feels uncomfortable talking about nude scenes and says she has “an allergy to labels,” but she becomes effusive when discussing her “dream year” with two special films about to hit theaters.
The first is Spanish director Pedro Almodovar’s ‘Broken Embraces’, her fourth collaboration with the filmmaker who helped make her a star, and the second is musical ‘Nine’ from director Rob Marshall, which challenged her voice and her previously little-known dancing skills.
Both films hope to win over Oscar voters during Hollywood’s awards season, and after her own Academy Award-winning turn in Woody Allen comedy ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ last year, Cruz is again earning some early Oscar buzz — doubled.

Megan Fox hides her personality under controversies!
Model-turned-actress Megan Fox has claimed she hides her true self under layers of controversies.
The 23-year-old, who has often caused raised eyebrows after coming out of the closet as a bisexual or
for her candid remarks, says it’s just an outside persona she has created to veil her true self from getting diluted.
“Being a celebrity is like being a sacrificial lamb. At some point, no matter how high the pedestal that they (critics and audiences) put you on, they’re going to tear you down. And I created a character as an offering for the sacrifice. I’m not willing to give my true self up,” she said.
“The reality is, I’m hidden amongst all the insanity. Nobody can find me,” she added
Gossip Girl invites trouble for threesome plot
CW network’s hit TV show ‘Gossip Girl’ has come under fire from the Parental Television council (PTC) after trailers of an upcoming episode hinting at a threesome surfaced.
he PTC has now demanded the network’s affiliates to stop the airing of the future episode. Parent Television Council President Tim Winter has released a statement saying that ads such as a ‘3SOME,’ is ‘reckless and irresponsible,’ since the show is primarily followed by young, female audience.
In fact the latter has sent letter to affiliates nationwide, asserting that they will ‘bear the financial burden of an FCC fine should any of the content on the November 9th episode be found to violate broadcast decency laws.’
“We don’t know how it will be depicted yet. Our concern is really more thematic with respect to the target audience,” Fox News quoted Melissa Henson, the director of communications and public education, as saying.
She added: “We know that the show is especially popular with teenage girls. CW has been defending graphic content on ‘Gossip Girl’ by asserting that they don”t target teenagers. Such a claim doesn’t even pass the ‘laugh test.’
“Images of teenagers in sexual scenarios are nothing new. But the idea of a threesome is a fairly new phenomenon that has previously only been associated with adult films. The network is giving it a sense of normalcy and depicting it as nothing unusual and suggesting there are no particular consequences for this type of behavior.
“Parents are of course responsible for what children watch on television or online. But that doesn’t let the network off the hook. They are using a public resource to send their message out, so they have to adhere to community standards of decency. And it’s very hard for a parent to combat a multimillion dollar ad campaign telling kids to watch specifically because parents say not to do so.”
Meanwhile, CW spokesman Paul McGuire has said that the network had no comment on PTCs complaint. He explained that the show’s target audience is 18- to 34-year-old women, with a median viewer age of 27 years old.
Leighton Meester’s ’sex tape’ finds no buyer
After Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian and Elizabeth Jagger, Leighton Meester’s alleged sex tape is in the circuit, but it’s too expensive for website owners. The video featuring the Gossip Girl star priced at a staggering 100,000 dollars is, apparently, shot with an ex-boyfriend when she was 18 years old.
However, Jim McBride, owner of MrSkin.com, the world’s leading source for celebs flashing the flesh, did not accept the offer. “It was definitely a legitimate offer and it was from a professional who has done this before,” Fox News quoted him as saying. “But we passed, it’s not our thing. I celebrate nudity in movies and TV, but always with respect for the actresses who choose to bare their bodies on-screen. Homemade sex tapes fall beyond that scope,” he explained.
He added: “When Leighton Meester is ready to do a proper movie or TV nude scene on her own terms Mr. Skin will review it, report on it, and celebrate Leighton in the fashion that has made our site famous. Until then, out of respect for her talent and beauty we want nothing to do with the tape.”
