Model-singer Carla Bruni, wife of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, has accepted Hollywood filmmaker Woody Allen’s offer to appear in his next film.

France’s first lady, who appeared on Canal+ television Monday to perform a cover of the ‘Beatles’ And I Love Her’ with the American entertainer Harry Connick Jnr, said Allen had asked her to work with him after a visit to Paris in June.

‘Woody Allen kindly asked me not to do a film with anyone else before him,’ she said, admitting that she had said yes. She did not give any details of the role intended for her.

‘If anything concrete ever comes of it, it would be a great experience for me,’ she added.

The 42-year-old Bruni said: ‘I go into everything blindly, or I’d never do anything at all. I am not an actress at all. Maybe I’ll be completely hopeless, but I can’t miss an opportunity like this one in my life. When I’m a grandmother, I’d like to be able to say I made a film with Woody Allen.’

Hollywood actress Sienna Miller has reportedly ended her relationship with British DJ George Barker because of her work commitments in the US.

Miller had been dating Barker since July but recently moved to New York because of work commitments and it seems that distance between the two has taken a toll on their relationship.

“We had all hoped Sienna and George would be a long-term relationship. They always looked so happy together. But they have realized that it wasn’t going to last the distance with Sienna being out in New York, so they have agreed to part ways,” said a source.

“Long-distance love isn’t something they were prepared to do and it was a mutual thing that they decided to part. They will remain pals and who knows what the future will bring?” he added.

Kristen Stewart has parted ways with Twilight co-star/alleged boyfriend Robert Pattinson, as he was too serious about their relationship and wanted to get married, sources say.

The actor was apparently pressurizing her to take their love to the next level and was even stopping her from spending time with friends and family.

“Robert was talking marriage but she told him they needed a break,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling America’s OK! Magazine. The two also had different opinions about settling in a particular place.

The insider said: “Now The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has finished filming, there’s been a lot of tension about the logistics of their relationship as Robert wants to go back to the UK, while Kristen prefers to stay in Los Angeles.”

However, the alleged couple was earlier sharing a suite costing 850 dollars a night at Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel in Vancouver, Canada.
